Hello,

I know that rqt stores configurations made by the user in the so called perspective, but well, it does not the job properly!

Every time I reopen rqt and reimport a previously saved perspective, only some of the previous made configuration are there and most of the other are NOT!

Is there a simple way to accomplish this?

Thank you a lot in advance

The interface for rqt plugins does enable a plugin to store / restore arbitrary state. If a specific plugin doesn't restore parts of its configuration you might want to fill an issue in the repository which contains that plugin (or even better consider to contribute to the plugin to add that missing functionality).

I am not sure if I understood you well, so simply closing rqt_gui with whatever configuration and then rosrun rqt_gui rqt_gui will not load the previously opened rqt?

Absolutely not. Doing what you suggest reopen rqt with SOME of the previous setted configurations, but not all of them. For example, say I want to consistently visualize in two different plots Roll, Pitch, Yaw of LIDAR and Roll, Pitch, Yaw of IMU, both with the convention Roll:Red, Pitch:Green, Yaw:Blue for both the plot. I do lot of work in order to set this for both plots, but when I reopen rqt_gui the two plots are still there but the color convention is totally gone and I have to do the same job all again from scratch. Do you have any idea on how to solve this? It's impossible rqt_gui developer didn't think about this

try http://wiki.ros.org/rqt_multiplot in that case or write your own python script to plot with your own specification.
