How to implement wall following on a turtlebot2

I have a robot that can go to a certain location stated by x and y coordinates but I can't avoid obstacles. This task is made more difficult as the sensor has a limited range of vision (it can't see whats 90 degrees of it). I've been looking for algorithms/methods to do this without any luck. Any advice?
