slam gmapping with Hokuyo

Hi, friends

I am having problem with slamgmapping with hokuyo. I am doing basic step. I just finished installing laser drivers and gmapping pakages. Then, I just type "rosrun gmapping slamgmapping scan:=base_scan ". and then, it seems like working but it doesn't display any result. Please help me how to do gmapping with Hokuyo. thanks.

Please include any terminal output. What does "it seems like it's working but doesn't display any result" actually mean? You can't view the generated map in rviz? No command line output in the gmapping terminal window? Etc. We need more info on what results you do get any what you expect to get.

And also, do you really only run the one command line you stated, or do you start up everything else (hokuyo node etc.) beforehand? If not, that certainly explains why it doesn't work.
