GPS waypoint navigation with intermediate goals

Hello all, Can someone help me with my following question please ?

I am currently working on GPS Waypoint navigation (ROS-iNDIGO Husky) by first acquiring GPS waypoints and then setting them up as goals with a husky robot. The GPS waypoints that lie intermediate are hard-coded first and asked the robot to go to different goals with move_base. I am following this tutorial link.

I am now asking my robot to go through intermediate goals for travelling through the entire course. But I would like to find intermediate waypoints with only three GPS waypoints given.

If I am only given three GPS waypoints at the extreme end, is there any algorithm that I can work with to find the intermediate goals to drive through the entire course without knowing the intermediate goals. If yes, can someone explain how can I follow with this please?

I'm not quite sure what question you're asking. Do you need a route planning algorithm to plot a course through outdoor terrain? How were the original hard coded way points chosen? Does your system have a map of terrain already? We need to know a lot more before we can help you.
