On doing roslaunch openni_launch openni.launch Im getting error : No devices connected, waiting for devices to be connected. On doing lsusb i only see Microsoft Nui Xbox Motor. I found online that this may be due to the kinect not receiving enough power, but the kinect works with the same adapter on a different laptop.

My setup is an intel i3 processor mounted on an ecs1151 motherboard
