Good way to implement object detection and pose estimation in ROS
Hello, I'm trying to implement object detection and pose estimation in ROS. I'm using Astra rgbd camera. Object is just a simple box and i need to get pose of object in reference frame of camera.
I have tried Object Recognition kitchen, but I couldn't make it work. Is ORK good for object detection and pose esstimation? I have tried V4R (vision for robotics) but I couldn't make it work too.
Can you suggest some way to implement object detection and pose estimation in ROS?

I also could not make v4r work using Kinect v1 and ubuntu Xenial, I haven't tried ORK yet but the only package that seems to work fine is the ros-kinetic-find-object-2d that has a 3d object option for pose estimation.
