Basler Dart Hardware Triggering?

Current State: I have successfully set up four USB Basler Darts to stream on the .../image_raw topic and software-trigger on the .../trigger topic. ../trigger topic.

Problem: I'd like to switch over to hardware triggering to get the cameras time synced. So far, I've been unable to find documentation on the pylon_camera package to run with hardware-trigger.

The hints I can find in the package are:

  • pylon_camera.h sets the trigger mode to 0 (software trigger).
  • pylon_camera_node.ccp is set to throw an error if the camera is not registered to software-trigger mode.

My questions are:

  1. Does pylon_camera support hardware-trigger mode?
  2. If not, can it be simply altered to do so? Or will I need to adapt my own node?

Thanks very much for your help!

We did not implement the hardware trigger yet and don't have the resources for it in the next time. Issue 15
