navigation_stage .world files and other documentation
Trying to create a custom world for stage, I am looking at examples in the navigation_stage package. I can't find documentation online that matches those examples. For example, the .world file include "define block" and nowhere can I find a mention of what the define statement does, and/or what the block statement does. So after chasing my tail for a while I thought I'd see if someone could point me to the documentation that I should be looking at. Thanks.

That is quite old software, and I'm not sure people who still use it frequent this board. Not saying that it's "hopeless" though.

Thank you. What do people use other than Gazebo if I need a lightweight, 2d simulation environment?

Not sure. Perhaps stdr_simulator? I'm not a user of Stage though btw, so perhaps it's actually still very much used, but I'm not aware of it. Let's see whether you get any other responses.
