How to reduce particle deprivation in AMCL?

Hello,

How do we tackle the particle deprivation problem in AMCL? I know this is a general problem when working with particle filters but is there any way to reduce this effect to increase the localization accuracy.

maybe increasing min number of particles parameter would help ?

This could help to an extend. But is there a computationally less expensive way?
