Beginner question - Steps involved in building a robot from scratch. [closed]
Hello,
I am building a pick and place robot. The robot has to recognise objects based on camera, move the arm into a box containing objects, then pick and place them on a table flat at some slots. The robot is going to be built from scratch. It is a prototype, so being crude is not an issue. I want to know all the steps involved in building one. I will give my understanding below; please correct me if I am wrong and then supplement with additional steps:
<hardware> - Buy parts for arms, servo motors, batteries, wires, webcams and other tools to assemble them

Create Robot model file Create SDF file/URDF file in Gazebo Recognize box in which objects are placed from camera Recognize objects inside the box Position robot arm over box Position robot arm over the object inside the box Position grippers to orient to the size and shape of the object Grab the object Recognize the table Move the arm over to the table Place the object in the grid
I am still unclear about the things to be done to interface between hardware and the ROS software stack. Kindly throw some light on those aspects.
i am same stuck at this point no one help me , i pray some one help us i am using arduino board for interfacing but no one help how i can do
IMO, this kind of question is too broad. There is no specific question, which this board is about. Also, this board is focused on ROS, not on building a robot. Maybe https://robotics.stackexchange.com is the better place to go.
mig if we have our own robot we can learn with it and we can try a new idea on that too so according to me Hands-on practice will benefit us
Sure. But then again there is a difference between Hands-on-practice including asking for help about a specific problem and asking: "how do I build a Robot"? I mean, for the second thing, there are courses at universities, books filling hundreds of pages, people dedicating their life to that...
university courses oh my god they are not up to date i am talking about my side i mean university here in my country they never even teach us about any advance technology , here if someone already try they can guide us
