How to set clearance for object

hi everyone

I use ros indigo for ubuntu 14.04LTS I am a beginner of ros

I use Industry roboto of 6DOF sometimes a planning path is so near for walls but it not safe

Plese tell me how to use clearance for object or similar function have ros ?
