Mapping with the hector quadrotor breaks the tf tree

I did some changes the to the hector quadrotor model description and added a linear movement gazebo plugin. Added some etc parts and weight, The flight slows down but can mitigate that but altering the control parameters. However when i try to map using hector mapping or gmapping my tf tree seems to be broken. Any advice on where i should start to solve the problem is welcome
