how to know that dependencies are needed to use just the sound amplification feature of SOX

Hello, I am very new to this field. The SOX runs fine on Linux but I am trying to amplify the recorded sound in a bot. Unfortunately, the compiler of Linux and the one being used in the BOT are different so can anyone suggest me how to find what dependencies are needed to just to amplify the recorded sound (by the bot) because each dependency has further dependencies in itself or any better alternate? I need to amplify the sound just because the sound being recorded by the bot is of quite low amplitude.
