Hi all,

My university recently purchased a Pioneer P3-DX mobile robot. It did not come with an operating system. I installed Ubuntu 16.02 on it. I have to be frank at this point and admit that I only ever installed Ubuntu once before, only because Windows crashed on me. I don't have much experience with it. I also installed the ROS Kinetic Kame using the steps mentioned in link text. However, I'm not quite sure as to how to make the robot itself move.

Has anyone here installed Ubuntu on a Pioneer device, and made it operate? As in, do things? Move in circles, maybe detect obstacles?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
