OpenNI camera launch - Failed to load nodelet, process has died

I am trying to start up the Astra rgbd camera on a RPi with ros using the astra_launch package and I get the following errors:

I installed ros from source with only roscomm, astracamera and astralaunch as base modules. When I use the default samples of the camera it starts up properly and displays correct depth values, so it is recognized correctly. When I launch it with ROS apparently it is also recognized, but the modules crash after that. The imageraw topics are still published but according to rviz do not contain any data. I managed to get it running a couple of months ago on the same device in the same manner, but now it doesn't want to work anymore even though the openni and driver files of the astracamera and astralaunch packages havent been changed.

What might be the issue here?

Try reinstalling the package :- sudo apt-get --reinstall install
