laser_scan_matcher IMU usage

Hi,

I've hooked my single axis gyro up - publishing out the orientation

I have a couple of simple questions:

1) How does the package deal with drift? Or does is just look at the difference between measurements 2) Is there a way I can tell if my IMU message is helping improve the LSM results at at all?
