Hey!

I'm trying to create some visualizations for a talk and am constantly running into annoying problems with wrong occlusions so that markers or parts of pointsclouds are invisible depending on minor changes in the viewing direction.

The images show a pointcloud that was published in the camera frame and transformed by rviz so that the box sits on the xy-Plane:

box_a.png box_b.png

I use Indigo and have an NVidia GPU. Does someone know how to correct that?

You might try changing the marker type as a work around. But this looks like something you could file as a ticket on rviz as a bug.

Other marker types are also occluded. Ticket is created: https://github.com/ros-visualization/...
