I am trying to integrate an Ibeo Lux LIDAR, but I can not find a ROS package that handles this sensor. Does anybody know whether there is a ready-to-use ROS package available, or anything that is (close to being) compatible?

The Sick LD-MRS is a re-badged Ibeo Lux, so the sick_ldmrs package might be able to talk to a Lux. Looks like it hasn't been touched since Electric, but might still be useful to you.

The sick_ldmrs package hasn't been maintained for some time but SICK themselves now provide and support their own ROS driver for the LD-MRS and (officially), the Ibeo LUX. It's called sick_ldmrs_laser.

AutonomouStuff also now provides Ibeo LUX and Ibeo ScaLa drivers on their Github:

https://github.com/astuff/ibeo_lux

https://github.com/astuff/ibeo_scala

https://github.com/astuff/ibeo_core (required for both)
