Has anyone had any success using SwiftNavs Piksi with ROS? http://www.swiftnav.com/piksi.html

I need to get this working. Any help would be much appreciated!

I have found this page but have not had any luck building from source: http://wiki.ros.org/swiftnav

I have not been able to figure out how to use catkin_make_isolated or overlays. I have read some docs on it but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Has someone done this before?

Do you really need to build it from source? Cause it has been released into Hydro and Indigo.

I emailed the maintainer of the package and he has told me that it is not what I need. He has pointed me to this package instead https://github.com/CsmithSD/swiftnav_...http://wiki.ros.org/swiftnav_piksi But when I try to build it complains about missing headers for libswiftnav. Anyone know how?

Follow these instructions: http://wiki.ros.org/swiftnav_piksi I tried to use catkin_make_isolated too but couldn't get it to work, so I've dropped back to build-from-source. The problem with the libswiftnav and libsbp that have been released as ROS packages is that libswiftnav is broken - it is missing a symbol that the swiftnav_piksi driver uses - something in the lapack library.

Contact me if you have ongoing questions or problems - i'm shortly going to announce this, and the swiftnav ppl will help support it. One thing still in flux is the topic names it publishes on - follow a question I'm about to post on the topic

Regards

Paul
