i want to use static map in hector_slam, what can i do?

operation system: ubuntu 14 ROS: indigo package: hectorslam i modified "HectorMappingRos.cpp" to set "bool pusestaticmap = true;" but it is still cannot work, what else should i do? thank you very much!
