odometry and visual odometry

I worked with turtlebot 2 ros hydro, When i roslaunch turtlebot_bringup minimal.launch, i found as topics: /odom (nav_msgs/Odometry) This topic gives as informations:the pose and the twist
I want to understand where i can found visual_odometry topic? normally when I roslaunch the openni.launch, but when i do this i found the same topic /odom (nav_msgs/Odometry)
ANy help please
