Does anyone have a map downsampling node?

As part of some of the experiments that I'm running, I'd like to downsample a map and publish it on a new topic.

I've done a bit of searching on google and on the ROS wiki, and I haven't been able to find anything. Does anyone have a node that does this? If not, I'll write my own.
