I used Ubuntu 13.04. I removed ROS fuerte and trying to re-install Hydro version But, when I install ROS Hydro, i got this message

Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/libyaml-cpp-dev_0.3.0-1_i386.deb E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Also, after typing "sudo apt-get -f install" I got this.

(Reading database ... 319668 files and directories currently installed.) Unpacking libyaml-cpp-dev (from .../libyaml-cpp-dev_0.3.0-1_i386.deb) ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libyaml-cpp-dev_0.3.0-1_i386.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/pkgconfig/yaml-cpp.pc', which is also in package yaml-cpp0.2.6-dev 0.2.6-4~oneiric No apport report written because MaxReports is reached already dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe) Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/libyaml-cpp-dev_0.3.0-1_i386.deb E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Please help me.

Thanks.

This looks odd: yaml-cpp0.2.6-dev 0.2.6-4~oneiric Do you have oneiric sources mixed with your 13.04 sources?

Check your /etc/apt/sources.list if that is clear of any oneiric things and re-run apt-get update. If that doesn't help try manually removing the conflicting packages. Reinstalling should fetch the correct versions.
