I had a similar issue with an Xtion Pro Live. I was running Openni_node, not launch, so my error message wasn't precisely the same, but you might want to check out the solution I posted here: http://answers.ros.org/question/59632/openni_launch-crashes-with-failed-to-set-usb-interface/

And see if it works for you.
