While there doesn't appear to be any support for Kuka robots yet, the ROS Industrial 'section' of ROS seems like the best place to look / ask for support. They might be interested in adding support for it, if they are not already working on it.

Using Orocos RTT seems easier than any of the embedded robot languages most of their supported arms use (V+, Karel).
