Yes, you need to update the source code, and IIRC there is a small change in arguments. The new usage is explained here:

Yes, you need to ~~update~~ replace PLUGINLIB_REGISTER_CLASS with PLUGINLIB_EXPORT_CLASS in the source code, and IIRC there is a small change in the arguments. The new usage is explained here:
