Revision history [back]

AFAIK ROS 2 is not guaranteed to work with communication between older and newer distributions. It sometimes works, there I have found some sources on it:

  • https://answers.ros.org/question/358065/communicate-between-foxy-and-dashing/
  • https://www.reddit.com/r/ROS/comments/r2obf3/communication_between_ros2_dashing_and_ros2_foxy/

Suggestion with changing DDS between versions seem to be your good first target.
