I have the same problem with kinetic, looking in the source code: https://github.com/ros-planning/moveit/blob/kinetic-devel/moveit_ros/planning_interface/move_group_interface/include/moveit/move_group_interface/move_group_interface.h

There is no getJointModelGroupNames in branch kinetic-devel.However, there is one in branch melodic-devel.
