I would personally recommend the clearpath husky demo, it gives you an insight in to the navigation stack for mobile robotics.

I would personally recommend the clearpath husky demo, it gives you an insight in to the navigation stack for mobile ~~robotics.~~robotics. The demos also lets you get familiar with rviz, gazebo and different navigation techniques. This is how I started learning and I found it to be helpful to see something working in simulation.
