Ubuntu 14.04 is not a target platform for ROS Kinetic. Platforms targeted by Kinetic are Ubuntu Wily (15.10) and Ubuntu Xenial (16.04). You have a couple of options:

Use ROS Indigo or Jade with Ubuntu 14.04
Upgrade to Ubuntu 15.10 or 16.04
