Hardware requirements to use Gmapping

This post is a wiki. Anyone with karma >75 is welcome to improve it.

I have a Cortex A5 processor and 64mb of RAM on my embedded system.

I am attempt to use Gmapping with a Sick LMS 200 sensor running on it to provide a map and localization.

However I'm afraid it does not work because would be insufficient memory and clock.

Then, anyone know how much memory and processing need to run it?
