ROS2 installation directory

Hello, I try to settup a system for cross-compiling and development for an embedded target based on OpenEmbedded/Yocto. I realized, that the default installation path for ROS1 is /opt/ros/, whereas for ROS2 the installation path is in /usr/bin... Is it possible to change the installation directory on the target to the /opt/ros2/? This would ease the setup of the cross-compilation toolset since I could use the standard path used on an Ubuntu target. How could I achieve this?
