I'd like to find tutorials/examples on how to aquire basic ground truth - preferably for a low cost lab setup which does not involve expensive Vicon rigs - for my 4 wheel rover platform.

As well as practical ways to measure maximum acceleration velocity

Would be really grateful for any pointers on this.
