I gave up trying to put ROS on my Mac, that guide didn't work for me (he does mention it doesn't always work). Alternatively, it's pretty easy to partition a Mac hard drive, then you can install Ubuntu and easily get ROS :)

Hey! I'd like to try and get a working ROS kinetic (or any ROS distro at this point of hopelessness) on my Mac with MacOS Mojave as well. Could you get yours to work?

Please see the Github issue here: https://github.com/ros/homebrew-deps/issues/36

nagakiran has resolved this problem. Just follow his instruction, it involves cloning the repo (dep files) into your /usr/Local/Homebrew/Library/Taps
and then running the brew dep command provided in the discussion.
