Hello,

I am experiencing some issues with the husky a200 motors drivers being too hot (see attached image).

photo: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1KIu...

Husky would suddenly stop moving during operation and I think this might have something to do with it.

Has anyone experienced this? any remedies?

This isn't really a ROS question. It sounds like some damaged hardware or you're pushing it too hard.

This is only after 5 minutes of use. See the related post, I am wondering if this may be the potential cause

The error message is saying the motor drivers are too hot, I've updated your question. Is it possible for you to tell which of the motor drivers is over heating?

If so you could swap the motors themselves over and see if the fault follows the motor or stays with the driver. This behaviour could be caused by a motor that's on the way out.

The husky was bought 5 months ago; therefore, I dont believe that there is an issue with the hardware. I am wondering if there are any files in software that could be causing the motor drivers to over heat?

The only setting that I can think of that would cause a motor driver to overheat would be the P, I and D gains being given very bad values. But I very much doubt you have or even could change those settings.

Also the age of the robot might not be that important. A defective part may well show up at any time, even though the bathtub curve determines the odds.

I would strongly recommend that you contact Clearpath support directly about this. They will probably be able to help you collect more information and determine whether this is a hardware or software problem.
