Controlling Hexopod via ROS using Arbotix-M

I am about to write the controlling code on an Arboix-M in the Arduino IDE. The code should run in a Node of the Robot Operating System. Im really newby in this, never used ROS or Arbotix-M before, that is why i am here. I got ROS, arbotix libraries (Bioloid etc) , ftdi driver etc, and i need some instruction to start writing the code.
