Lidar question

hi I want to ask if quanergy lidar is compatible with ROS, and can work with slam. like M8 lidar and if its compatible with ROS, can any one give me the node or package that help to connect it.

For more general question, how I can know if the Lidar is compatible with ROS or not. I used Kinect for now, but I am trying to use more advanced Lidar for outdoor testing.

so I need some advice, thanks for your time.

I didn't think Quanergy was actually selling their sensors, so I don't think there's any support in ROS yet. Do you actually have an M8?

hi first thanks for replay i don't have any Lidar yet , I am trying to buy one ; so for that reason I am considering every option to get the best result. but I think they are selling there laser scanner because the price of M8 is about $1,000, and its most like VLP-16
