rviz not displaying marker texture accurately

Hello

I am trying to display a chessboard in rviz. I created the mesh (available here) and added texture to it using blender and exportint it to a .dae file with texture by enabeling the right boxes in the export panel of blender as it is explained here. However, when I try to display this in rviz, I see it but depending on the angle it is compleatly white. Please see this short video

Any hint?
