Getting distance to head from cob_people_detection

I am using the most excellent cobpeopledetection package under ROS Indigo (Ubuntu 14.04). The package does a nice job of detecting heads and faces when using my robot's Xtion Pro Live camera. However, it seems that the head and face detections are published only as 2D images or Rects and the distance to the head or face is not published. Since depth is used as part of the head detection algorithm, I'm wondering why the distance to the detected head is not published. Or am I missing something?
