Mapping and rviz problem

hi! iam using ros and hokuyo and i want to generate a map! but i have some problems! first after runlaunch hector_slam slam.lauch i got this err "hector-mapping1" process has died ,and also i have no map option in the topic when rviz pup up.could anyone plz help me with? i can get laser data
