controlling 2 dynamixel servos in parallel with arbotix driver

Hello List,

We have an arm (from crustcrawler) where 2 servo's are connected in parallel to get more power in the joint. It can be used using the dynamixelcontrollers package by using the motorslave construct in the yaml file.

But I would like to use the arbotix package. Is something similar possible? Or is it feasible to just use 2 controllers with always the same set points? Would that work, or will the motors be fighting each other? Or do I need to port the functionality to the arbotix package?
