rosserial_arduino sync error

I am running an arduino Uno connected to a odroid through usb. The odroid is connected through wifi to pc. I am not able to make the odroid get the hello_world rosserial_arduino program to work. If I run the same program by connecting the arduino to the pc,it works. ROS hydro in all devices. A belkin n750 router(has high bandwidth).

Error msg: Unable to sync with device; possible link problem or link software version mismatch such as hydro rosserial_python with groovy Arduino
